Unexpected Breckenridge: Astonishing Value

September 29th, 2008 by Mark

Did you know you can rent a 5 bedroom luxury vacation rental in Breckenridge during the prime ski season for just $56 dollars per person??

It doesn’t need to be explained that Breckenridge, CO is one of the best winter destinations for groups seeking an outdoorsy escape to the mountains.  Breck offers a world-class ski resort and plenty of activities during the winter for all ages to enjoy, and the fact is there are great values to be had for larger groups looking to take advantage of this town’s mountain splendor.

Tatonka is just such a deal.  This home sleeps 11, has 2 master bedrooms, chef-grade kitchen, plasma screen TV’s, 6 person private hot tub, iPod docking stations in virtually every room, a cinema room, spacious deck with fire pit, and a free shuttle service that stops right at the driveway to take you straight to skiing or to the town shops/restaurants.

For January, Tatonka costs just 620 per night .  Taking into consideration that it sleeps 11 people, this home costs only $56 per person per night in the height of the ski season.  $56 for the added privacy, spaciousness, amenities, and luxurious comforts of your own private home…this is a true exceptional bargain in comparison to even a mid-level hotel room.

Tatonka is booking fast for obvious reasons.  Inquire fast to get your piece of the pie.

Society Partner Featured in the New York Times

August 13th, 2008 by Mark

Published August 7, 2008, an article featured in the Great Homes and Destinations section of the New York Times featured one of The Society’s most esteemed Luxe Alliance partners.  Peak Properties, Inc., the premier provider of luxury vacation rentals and services in Vail, CO and host of our open house in late July was spotlighted for their design efforts as they prepare for a busy winter ski season.

Joseph Sobin, marketing and media relations manager at Peak Properties, explains how eco-friendly design is becoming a large draw for luxury rentals in Vail.

Most other companies talk about fine linens and Viking stoves, and the reality is these are standard in luxe homes.  We are trying to also push the green aspect of the home and the decor.

Peak Properties is setting a standard that we appreciate so much from our partners.  They are rewriting their house descriptions to include green details and add another layer of value for travelers to appreciate.

Nicely done, Peak, and we encourage all of our partners on The Society to refine their information, take one step further and find value adds that can deliver truly exceptional vacation experiences.

Read the full article here, and gain some insightful tips to make your rentals stand out in an increasingly crowded market…(Step 1 is having your rentals showcased on The Society, of course!)

The Special Anniversary Issue of the duPont Registry has been released for August, 2008.

Inside, The Society and a few of our premier property manager partners were featured in a full, two page spread, as well as a feature story entitled, “Paradise Redefined.”

Excerpt:

One company that has been leading the way in the luxury vacation-home rental arena is the Society of Leisure Enthusiasts. “Vacation rentals are a great alternative to luxury hotels or owning your own vacation home,” says Michael McFadden, CEO and co-founder of the Denver, Colorado-based company. “You enjoy the ambience of high-end accommodations and save money, versus staying in a luxury hotel.”

Another bonus is homeowners in desirable vacation destinations can list their properties for rent on The Society’s website and use the money to offset the cost of renting vacation properties for their own travels.

Secret Hideaway: Haven-Cal-a-Vie
by Marjorie Roth
stein

What do Paula Abdul, Kirstie Alley, Tim Daley, Sharon Gless, Angelica Huston, Julia Roberts, Uma Thurman, Kathleen Turner and Claire Danes have in common? If you’ve guessed that they’re all celebs, that’s true. But what makes this bunch even more unique is that they all love to escape to a secret hideaway in the hills of Vista, Ca. What is this place? It’s a haven for the very rich and famous, or anyone who wants to be pampered beyond words.

This is so exclusive, only 25 guests can be there at the same time. It is so private, you cannot even find the place without explicit directions. You can’t enter this hilltop sanctuary without an invitation and there is no access except an electric gate. What is the name of this place that looks like an authentic village in Provence, with real antiques and original artifacts? It’s called Cal a Vie and it is located on Spa Havens Way.
