Once the symbol of discounting during most of 2009, even Las Vegas has staged a comeback. Beyond the negative publicity concerning foreclosures and empty developments, the Strip continues to thrive, the finest restaurants now offer deals via prix-fixe options and the shows still go on. Hotel prices have bottomed-out and are beginning to rebound. Las Vegas actually was removed from Hotwire’s Top-10 list of North American cities with the deepest hotel price cuts.
While rooms can be had at The Wynn for $139/night, we suggest a vacation rental where you and your guests can enjoy premier luxury and privacy not found at the large hotels. Instead of the screaming children and crowded poolside dining options, enjoy your own pool and hot tub, all clothing optional. Be sure to check out our Mini-Castle collection, a group of 4 gated estates just minutes from The Strip. With the sheer opulence, luxury amenities and unequaled privacy offered by our Mini-Castle estate, hotels on the Strip may become a distant memory.

Many famous houses in Florida boast of their provenance or their heritage. We guarantee The Sandhurst Estate, a private compound on almost two acres has a unique provenance one does not encounter often. The compound was featured as 2004 MTV’s Summer Beach House with Usher, as the Ultimate Dream Vacation Home on HGTV’s Vacation Living Show and in Martha Stewart’s Living Magazine. Sandhurst Estate is the perfect option for a relaxing vacation home, family reunion, corporate (discreet) retreat, special event or destination wedding.
The waterfront estate captures the architecture of Florida and the Caribbean in its Colonial West Indies style with 8 bedrooms, 7.5 bathrooms accommodating 20 guests in opulent yet laid-back comfort and style. On the estate grounds, guests enjoy the oversized heated pool with poolside bar and keg cooer, a tennis court, and boat dock (kayaks included). Of course, for the beach experience, just use the private access to one of the finest beaches on the Gulf of Mexico. Additional island pastimes include golf, boating, kayaking, snorkeling, nature walks, shelling, biking, parasailing and fishing.
While we may suggest employing the services of the private chef, you are just a short distance from the village of Captiva. This secluded unspoiled tropical village offers guests gourmet restaurants, outdoor cafes, boutiques and art galleries (the late artist Robert Rauschenberg kept a home and studio on the island).
Leave the madras and Lilly Pulitzer attire in Palm Beach, when visiting Captiva Island its all about relaxation, rejuvenation and restoration, all within luxury surroundings found few places on this earth.

The destination wedding is a cost-effective alternative which has been gaining popularity in recent years. With the present economic downturn, we see the trend increasing as couples and families see the cost-effectiveness of the destination wedding. Please note, The Society recently added a “Wedding Portal” with options for destination wedding from 25 guests to 500+ guests with options worldwide. Visit the Wedding Portal, and begin browsing for your wedding property.

The Society’s Wedding Portal is scheduled to be up and running by the middle of March, 09, what does this mean for you? Destination weddings and honeymoons are a multi-billion dollar annual business. Statistically, during periods of recession such weddings increase as a cost-effective alternative to the hometown wedding in the 5-star hotel with 200+ guests.
Many of our property management partners have homes, which are perfect for weddings. For example, one of our Italian partners has a lovely villa in Positano with a deck over the water, perfect for a sundown wedding ceremony. One of our partners in Aspen has the perfect venue for a “western ranch” theme wedding. How about the wedding and guests on a private island? The opportunities within this marketplace are endless. What property do you have that you would like us to promote?
