Located among remarkable mountain vistas, Lakota Canyon Ranch presents golfers with daunting but stunning views of some of Colorado's best canyon settings. Elevated tee boxes are common as golfers will find themselves, on occasion, hitting to a fairway more than 100 feet below the tee. This course was rated in the top 10 public upscale courses, and it was ranked as Colorado's Best Public Access Course by Golfweek Magazine in 2006. Its narrow fairways which demand accuracy coupled with numerous deep bunkers make this course very difficult, and it may not be appropriate for high handicappers.
This course is definitely playable from the back tees. It has many elevated tee boxes along with some tremendous views. The greens putted true and it is well worth the money.
This course has some unbelievable views. As a course, it's a great mountain track with plenty of elevation changes and difficult shots. At a high elevation (but not quite like Breckenridge) the ball travels far so don't be afraid of the back tees.
