Located in Indio, Heritage Palms Golf Club offers an 18-hole championship course designed by Arthur Hills that was constructed within the valley. Heritage Palms maneuvers through a residential area, so there are out-of-bounds stakes on almost all of the holes, and the fairways award players who can drive the ball straight. This course has been called a true gem of the desert, and the course is known to be kept in terrific condition. The course features water hazards on six of the holes, many elevation changes, and a lot of bunkers that protect the greens. Heritage Palms allows large golfing groups of sixteen or more to make tee times a year in advance.
