This course is located near Leadville at the base of the two highest mountains in Colorado: Mt. Massive (the second highest) and Mt. Elbert (the highest). At this altitude, this golf course presents a unique and wonderful setting for golfers to enjoy. The rough is very delicate at this height, and carts are not allowed to be driven in the rough. This course poses challenges to golfers of all handicaps, but the beautiful scenery in the valley where this course rests is an impressive array of picturesque mountain views and a variety of wildlife including elk and deer that have attracted golfers to this small-town golf course.
