New York City needs no introduction. made up of 5 separate "boroughs" that could each be large cities of their own including Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx and Staten Island, New York City is a staple of the United States. Travelers must see the Statue of Liberty, the Brooklyn Bridge, Times Square, Central Park, Rockefeller Plaza and the Empire State Building to name a few landmarks. Also known for fine dining, theater/performing arts, parades, art galleries and a bustling city atmosphere like none other, visitors to New York City will have no time to spare.
Stretching just east of New York City is Long Island. Long Island is mostly filled with neighborhoods/suburbs, and the primary source of activities comes from the many beaches stretching along Long Island's coast. East Hampton is a highlight of Long Island, with charming boutiques, antique shops, art galleries, quaint villages, and for more outdoorsy activities, fishing, boating, golf, tennis and horsebacking. Long Island and East Hampton in particular are also known for festivals, parades, fireworks, community BBQ's, etc. making it an ideal destination during peak summer holidays such as Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day. |
